Oak Front Doors from Cox's Architectural Salvage Yard.

There is only one front door per house and this is the door that takes the weather. Consequently front doors are scarce. Here in the Cotswolds we have a great demand for traditional oak front doors. Demand which way outstrips supply.
To get over this, our workshops make substantial planked doors from reclaimed, well seasoned old oak. The pictures show examples.
Customers can specify the size, finish and hardware that meets their
requirements. Matching heavy section oak frames are supplied as standard but where a client has an existing frame we can make a door only.

Taking well seasoned reclaimed oak boards, our craftsmen hand construct
these doors using time honoured methods.

Being individually made, the doors can be tailored to a buyers requirements,
within reason. Furniture can be purchased from our range.

  Finishes - clear but rustic light medium oak oiled
                                    - dark medieval look very rustic oiled oak

Doors are supplied with a weather bar

Frames can be supplied with or without a sill

  Doors can be supplied with a bead moulding on the front where
                     the planks join or with a cover strip ('muntin')

Studs or nails can be added to the front of the door if required

  A front door can be fitted with:
                    A door knocker
                    A letter box
                     A centre door pull or any combination of these or none.
                     We will fit at no charge any piece of door furniture purchased
                     from our hardware site.

Where a window is specified then laminated glass is fitted as standard.

An iron security grill over the window is an option.

We can deliver nationwide.

A note of caution. Being made from reclaimed timber, our doors will
always have a rustic nature to the finish which is part of their charm.
